According to Breaking News Headlines, Apple is reportedly developing a foldable iPad and at least two foldable iPhone prototypes, however, they might not be ready for public release until 2026 or 2027.

Over the past several years, there has been an increase in demand for foldable phones. Although Samsung and several other smartphone companies are already leading the foldable phone market, it has been alleged that Apple is developing a flip iPhone in addition to a foldable iPad.

According to the Latest news updates, Apple is working on a foldable phone with an external screen but engineers are having trouble because it can easily break. The report goes on to say that Apple wants to make the foldable phone as thin as existing iPhone models, but is having trouble because components such as battery and display are making the device thicker. The report also says that Apple has talked to “at least one” part maker in Asia in an effort to get components for different sizes of foldable iPhones. This suggests that Apple is experimenting with multiple foldable devices.

It turns out there are other devices being developed at the moment besides a foldable iPhone. The much-anticipated folding iPad, which is reportedly being developed by the tech giant, would reportedly have an 8-inch display and be the same size as the current generation iPad Mini. It appears that Apple developers are working on a hinge that will allow the phone to lie flat when it is unfurled and are attempting to lessen the wrinkle that occurs at the middle of every foldable phone.

A recent source suggests that Apple may reveal the foldable iPhone and iPad that year or the following year, however this is still up in the air.
Over the past few years, Apple has submitted multiple patent applications, suggesting that the tech behemoth was actively developing a foldable tablet and phone. An iPhone with a full-screen foldable screen was the subject of the first foldable iPhone patent, which was submitted back in 2016. It implied that the business intended to employ a number of adjustable parts and a layout that let users view both sides of the screen even when the phone was closed.

After four years, the tech giant based in Cupertino was awarded another patent for a novel hinge design that included adjustable flaps to minimize creases or harm to the display when it was folded. A few months later, Apple was mentioned in another patent application titled “Hybrid overlay/window structure for flexible display applications” as a potential user of a hard coat layer to avoid screen cracks on its flexible, bendable, and curved modules.
